These terms and conditions form the basis on which you can visit us and our website.


Please read them carefully as they contain important information.

1. The contract between us

Payment must be received in full prior to order being complete and dispatched. Once payment has been received, we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Our acceptance of your order is a legally binding contract between us.

2. Ownership of rights

All rights, including copyright in this website are owned by or licensed to The Woodworks Trading Ltd by Kim Sellers. Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non commercial use, is prohibited without our permission.
You may not modify, distribute or repost anything on this website for any purpose.

3. Accuracy of content

We have taken care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing and that all goods have been fairly described. Any weights, dimensions and capacities given about the goods are approximate only.

Please note: colours displayed in our product photographs may vary on different PC displays. 

4. Making a Purchase and Availability

Making an online purchase is easy, quick and secure and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Simply browse our online shop and add any items you wish to purchase to your shopping bag after confirming the quantity.

When you have finished your shopping, just click on “checkout” and fill out the few details needed to complete your order.

Please ensure that all fields marked with an asterisk * are completed, otherwise you will be unable to complete the checkout.

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If the goods you would like to order are not available from stock, it will not let you purchase them upon checkout as it will show clearly that the item is sold out. No items will go on back order and we can contact you by e-mail or phone to let you know when the product is back in stock. If an item is out of stock please email sales@thewoodworkstrading.co.uk to reserve your item.

5. Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order

You will need to provide us with your e-mail address and we will notify you by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order. An acceptance of your order will take place on despatch of the good(s) ordered.

6. Ordering errors

You are able to correct errors on your order up to the point on which you click on “submit” during the ordering process.

7. Product Pricing & Descriptions

Every product bought is sold subject to its product description which outlines any further specific conditions that relate to that product including, without restriction, terms and conditions regarding approximate delivery dates/times, warranties, after-sales support and guarantees.

We undertake all reasonable care to ensure that all the details, prices and descriptions of website products are accurate at the time when the appropriate information was entered onto our system. Whilst we endeavour to keep the website as up-to-date and accurate as is possible, there may be rare occasions when the information on the website (including product descriptions) at a certain time may not reflect the position exactly at the point an order is placed. Please note that we are unable to confirm the price of a product until your order is accepted in line with our order acceptance conditions.

The prices payable for goods that you order are as set out in our website and are in £s sterling. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering information. Prices exclude delivery.

Wherever it is not possible to accept your order to buy goods of the specification and description at the price indicated, we will advise you by email, offer to sell you the goods of the specification and description at the price stated in the email and will state the period for which the offer or the price remains valid.

8. Payment terms 

Our Payment process is operated through Paypal via a secure server.
You can check this by looking for the closed padlock at the bottom of your browser window at the payment stage. All card information is encrypted using the latest secure technology and passed directly to Paypal/SagePay for authorisation. No credit card information is stored on The Woodworks Trading Ltd’s website.

We will charge your credit account for payment upon receipt of your order unless delivery cannot be fulfilled within 14 days. Please note that your payment transaction will appear as The Woodworks Trading Ltd.

We accept no liability if a delivery is delayed because you did not give us the correct payment details or postcode. If it is not possible to obtain full payment for the goods from your account then we can cancel the contract and or suspend any further deliveries to you. This does not affect any other rights we may have.

9. Risk and ownership

You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to you at the time of delivery to you, or if you fail to take delivery at the agreed time, the time when we tried to deliver. You will only own the goods once they have been successfully delivered and when we have received cleared
payment in full. Goods supplied are not for resale.

 

10. Cancellation rights

We hope that you will be delighted with your order, however there may be an occasion where you need an exchange or a refund.

10.1. If you change your mind about a purchase, we will happily provide an exchange or refund, less shipping costs. Items must be returned to us in their original condition including all original packaging undamaged and unmarked. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the purchaser, including re-delivery of an exchanged product. We recommend that you return the product with a trackable and insured postage service and retain your tracking information until we have received your item. The Woodworks Trading Ltd will not be responsible for parcels sent back that are lost or damaged in transit. Upon receipt of your returned product, we will inspect it and confirm by email that your exchange or return has been processed. It may take up to 7 working days from confirmation of return to receive your funds. Please email sales@thewoodworkstrading.co.uk  to arrange your exchange or refund before sending your item back to us.

10.2. If an item is found to be faulty or arrives damaged, please email sales@thewoodworkstrading.co.uk  with a photograph and description of your faulty or damaged item within 24 hours of delivery. If sufficient evidence is supplied, we will endeavour to replace your item as soon as possible. If the item is no longer in stock a refund may be granted, less shipping charges.

Damaged or incorrectly supplied products: You should check all products you receive against your order. If the products you receive are incorrectly supplied then you must note the details of error in supply on the delivery documentation and inform us (by post, phone or e-mail only) within 24hours of delivery.
Please return the products to us as soon as possible (within fourteen days of receipt of your order) after informing us that the products have been incorrectly supplied. Please note that we will not accept the return of any damaged or incorrectly supplied products where you fail to notify us of this within seven working days of receiving them.

10.3 Other cancelled products: If you want to cancel products that are not damaged or incorrectly supplied, then you must inform us of this within seven working days, starting the day after you receive the order. You must take reasonable care of the products that you wish to cancel and not use them. Products should be returned at your cost within fourteen days of receipt of your order.

 

11. Cancellation by The Woodworks Trading Ltd.

11.1     We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:

11.1.1  We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered;

11.1.2  One or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.

11.2     If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your PayPal as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order.

12        Liability

12.1     If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, we will have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact
address of the problem within 60 days of the date on which you ordered the goods (unless this is not reasonably practicable).

If you notify a problem to us under this condition, our only obligation will be, at your option:

12.1.1  to make good any shortage or non-delivery;

12.1.2  to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective;
or

12.1.3  to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way
we choose.

12.2     Both parties shall only be liable under this contract for losses, which are a reasonably foreseeable consequence of the relevant breach of contract

12.3     You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site.
The importation or exportation of certain of our goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.

12.4     Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights
that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

13. Notices

Unless otherwise expressly stated in these terms and conditions, all notices from you to us must be in writing and sent to our contact address at 54E East Street, Thame, Oxfordshire, OX93JS and all notices from us to you will be displayed on our website from time to time.

14. Changes to legal notices

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible. 

15. Law, jurisdiction and language

This website, any content contained therein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
Parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English.

16. Invalidity

If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.

17. Privacy

You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy which are clearly stated on our website under the “Privacy” section.

 

18. Third party rights

Nothing in this Agreement is intended to, nor shall it confer any rights on a third party.

 

Delivery

Delivery Charges:

The Woodworks Trading Ltd is to offer FREE UK STANDARD DELIVERY ON ALL ORDERS OVER £200.  Free shipping will automatically be applied during the checkout processes if your order exceeds £200.  For orders of £199 or less a UK Standard Shipping Rate (via Royal Mail) of £4.90 applies up to 2kg. Between 2-4kg the postal charge will increase to £8.00 and over 5-9kg a postal charge of £16 will apply.  We aim to dispatch once payment is cleared within 2-5 working days.

If a Delivery Order is placed after 1pm on a Friday it will not be dispatched until the Monday, with the exception of Bank Holidays.

Please note only Monday to Friday are classed as working days.

Please allow up to 10 working days for your items to arrive from the date of purchase.  Some items are dispatched by a courier and may require a signature.
Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances delivery may be delayed, but you will be kept informed via email.

Post Code Zone Structure Eng & Wales from our courier, UK mail.

Please note:  Standard Delivery applies to mainland Great Britain with the exception of the following Post Codes: –
The Isle of Wight, Isle of Scilly, Northern Ireland, AB31 – AB38, AB40 – AB56, IV1 – 28, IV30 – 32, IV36 – 40, IV52 – 54, IV63, KW1 – 14, PA21 – PA38, PH4 – PH41, PH49 – PH50, , IV41 – IV49, IV51, 55, 56, KA27 & 28, KW15 – 17, PA20, PA41 – 49, PA60 – 78, PH42 – 44, ZE.
The Isle of Man / Guernsey / Jersey all need to be selected as a different country as the delivery charge will be different to mainland UK.

All delivery charges are subject to change should the weight or size of the parcel
require further postage to be paid. Our Customer Service Team will contact you before despatching your parcel should this be the case.

Before you finalise and submit your order please ensure the delivery address is correct including the postcode.  Please also check your order confirmation as we will have to charge an additional fee should the parcel be despatched with an incorrect address on.

Orders that contain a singular item with a value of over £100 will require a signature for delivery so please ensure there will be someone at the delivery address selected to sign for your parcel or a safe and secure location specified. Please note once an item has been left in the designated safe location we cannot be held responsible for the parcel after this.

Please note: The Woodworks Trading Ltd cannot be held responsible for failure in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to vehicle
breakdown, incorrect address details being provided, major roadworks or road closures and force majeure.

 

Collection From Our Showroom Orders can be collected from our showroom on Tuesdays or Thursdays 9-12pm only Showroom address is 54E East Street, Thame OX93JS. Please contact  sales@thewoodworkstrading.co.uk to arrange this.

International Delivery

Currently, The Woodworks Trading Ltd does not provide overseas shopping as a delivery option online.  If you would like to request an overseas shipping quotation, please contact sales@thewoodworkstrading.co.uk  stating the overseas delivery address and items you would like to purchase and we will be happy to get an international shipping quote for you. You may be liable you’re your local importation/duty costs.


Part Shipment of An Order

Please note that if there is an item which is out of stock, but is due to arrive in the Warehouse within 48 hours, your order will be held and despatched together.  If the delay is longer than 48 hours your order will be part despatched.

The postage charge will only be taken once, even if your order is part shipped due to an item being back-ordered.

 

Items not received

All items will be shipped with Certificate of Postage via Royal Mail.  If however you contact us to say that you have not received your order we will require you to sign a non receipt form before we can resend your order. This can be sent via email and must be returned within seven days from date of issue.

Items damaged in transit

Although every effort is taken to ensure our parcels are well-packed when they leave our HQ accidents do happen. If this does happen please contact us within seven working days and email us pictures of the damaged item(s) to sales@thewoodworkstrading.co.uk and we will resolve the problem as quickly as possible for you.

Please check all goods on receipt as any damaged or faulty goods need to be reported within seven days. Once an item has been signed for it is accepted that the order has been received in a good condition, especially with items of furniture. Please check large items carefully before signing for the parcel.

Returns Policy & Making Returns

In the very unlikely event that a parcel arrives damaged or faulty or you wish to return it, you must contact us within 7 working days of receiving the parcel by email at sales@thewoodworkstrading.co.uk  We will send you a returns form by email to print complete, sign and return. Please note that all items need to be returned within 14 days complete and in good condition. Where possible we would ask that you return the item(s) with the original packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights. Refunds will be processed when the request to return is made within 7 days of receipt of delivery. Unfortunately, refunds will not be issued on items where the request to return is made after 7 days of receipt of delivery.

With the exception of faulty items or goods damaged in transit, please note that we are not responsible for return postage and the costs associated with this. Once you have contacted us, please ensure that you include the Returns Addressed Slip provided, and we would recommend that you obtain a Certificate of Posting.

Woodenware returns notice.

Please be aware that many of our items are handcrafted and made from materials such as wood where natural variation occurs. As such, please expect that there may be some variation in colour, texture, grain and shape with these products.
